My Daugther Opening New Book

I started writing this book in March of 2020. I scraped thirty thousand words because COVID was changing so much of my thinking about digital ministry. I slowly started to rewrite it eight months later as my thoughts became clearer. Writing a book was super hard for me. I tried to get it published by a few publishers but those conversations came up short. Apparently, writing a book about online ministry for church leaders is a pretty small audience. Fair point.

I decided to self-publish it and even create my own audio version. It was a long journey of writing, editing, reading the manuscript until you hate reading it, recording your voice, and repeatedly listening to it. Many early mornings and late nights. But it is done! This project, which I thought may never end, comes out in September.

My first test copy of the physical print (called a PROOF) came a few weeks ago, and my wife recorded a video of our daughter opening it. Honestly, I almost cried seeing the video because I never thought it would happen. But it is done. I can’t wait to share it with church leaders. I hope it helps push the conversation on how church leaders should leverage digital technology to expand God’s kingdom. My print/ebook comes out in September, and the audio versions are already live.

*I love Cash playing Fortnite in the background and not caring about it 🙂
