How to Get More Online Volunteers At Your Church

One of the biggest reasons people don’t volunteer online is that they don’t think it is possible. They don’t think their skills are needed. Why do you have so many greeters and ushers? People see this ministry weekly. Does the YouTube expert, marketing pro, and Instagram influencer feel needed at your church? Most likely, no. Also, you may think you don’t have these types of people at your church, but I’m betting you have a few.

IDEA: Host a digital volunteer summit and cast the vision that anyone with digital/technology skills should attend the event. Share your church's mission, how you aren’t sure what is possible, and ask people to step up to create a new ministry. You don’t have to fully understand what is needed, but just get the right people and point them in the right direction.

I expand on this idea of finding digital volunteers in my new book. Buy “Online Church Is Not The Answer: Beyond Just Streaming to Hybrid Disciple Making” to learn more about this topic.
